Laurie and Deejay had been planning their idyllic wedding for several years only to have the onslaught of COVID force them to change plans from a large wedding with all their friends and family to an intimate gathering with only their closest loved ones. Then the wildfires in August brought dangerous air and oncoming wildfires, forcing them to postpone their date yet again. After so many delays, this loving couple decided to make their special day a priority at all costs and with any restrictions required, as long as they could look into each other’s eyes accompanied by their angelic daughter to formalize their everlasting love to each other and their family.

Sometimes that change of plans is for the best and as you can see with this next wedding, you can have the most gorgeous wedding even if it is a little smaller than expected. Really digging the intimate vibe and colorful florals – a cake that looks like fine china and a table set for a King and Queen.

With all the rescheduling of weddings, we thought this shoot could help inspire couples to not cancel but downsize their wedding. California Kind Weddings designed and planned this colorful event at The Club at Pasadera wedding Venue in Carmel, California. Heart Paper Soul put together some elegant marbled paper goods for the invitations and menus. Our couple was radiant in their attire, provided by Epiphany Bridal Boutique. Ashley with Blush did a natural hair and makeup look to accent the bride’s already natural beauty. For the ceremony site, Cassia Foret created a stunning, nontraditional deconstructed floral arch installation in front of the gorgeous wooden doors. California Kind Weddings created a stunning dining table experience using Chic Event Rentals to create a romantic setting for an intimate dinner. A uniquely designed cake by Tart + Tin was created to make the feel and design of the event.
