One of my favorite memories of Roma and I was when we first met at a local food festival in Santa Cruz, California. I was sampling some delicious pies when our eyes met as we both shyly tasted free samples. I could feel myself blush, but he bravely approached and asked me what my favorite flavor was (its Strawberry Rhubarb of course!). After touring the festival together, we went on a walk along the ocean as the sun set on a gorgeous day in Santa Cruz. I felt instantly connected to him, and had never fallen so deeply in love. In my heart I knew he was the man with whom I would spend the rest of my life.
In only three years my dreams came true – Roma reached out to Fire & Brilliancein San Jose, CA to design the perfect ring. He didn’t know anything about jewelry, so they helped him create a halo diamond ring with a moissanite asscher center stone – absolutely breathtaking! What’s more, he reached out to Amber from De Joy Photography to be there for the proposal. Roma and I met Amber on a hike a few years ago and immediately became friends, so I never suspected a thing when she arrived to go on a hike. When he got on one knee, my heart burst with joy – I couldn’t believe what was happening. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset together but I have to admit, I couldn’t truly enjoy the view as I kept looking at my ring! It’s gorgeous and exactly what I had wanted! Roma surprised me once more with a pie. Yes, a pie! We always joked that I’d love to smash one in someone’s face. Never thought it would happen as it was more of a joke but I actually got the opportunity to do it. Crazy day! It was the most fun day of my life, and I can’t wait to get married to the love of my life and best friend.
