Holman Ranch | Kristin & Connor

Kristin and Connor are the kind of couple who make everyone around them feel like family, and their wedding was every bit as warm and joyful as the two of them. They filled the day with the people they love, a whole lot of laughter, and the most gorgeous Carmel Valley light.

The morning started slow and sweet, getting ready among the olive trees and lavender with the bridesmaids in their matching robes. Kristin's bouquet was a stunner, coral and peach garden roses spilling over with greenery against her soft tulle gown.

Their palette was blush and coral, romantic and a little bit sun-warmed, the bridesmaids in flowing pink and the guys sharp in classic black tuxedos.

While the girls got ready, the guys kept it relaxed, a game of chess and a few rounds of pool in the stone hacienda before the day really got going.

Then came the first look, the two of them meeting on the old stone staircase, and the whole wedding party gathered on the lawn for portraits in that beautiful valley light.

Holman Ranch is a historic Spanish hacienda tucked into the hills of Carmel Valley, all whitewashed walls and ancient oaks and its own vineyard rolling out toward the Santa Lucia Mountains. It is the kind of place that feels romantic without trying, and it gave us portrait spots for days.

Kristin and Connor exchanged their vows in a candlelit church ceremony, then walked back up the aisle to a happy storm of ribbon wands and cheers.

Cocktail hour spilled out into the courtyard with a cozy bar, plenty of yard games, and a vintage car parked out front, and then everyone settled in for an al fresco dinner under the oaks and string lights.

After dinner and some heartfelt toasts, we stole the two of them away for a few quiet minutes under Holman Ranch's famous oak tree and out along the vineyard, right as the light turned gold.

Their cake was crisp and white with tumbling coral blooms, the dessert table stacked with treats on old wine barrels, and then the dance floor opened up under twinkle lights with a live saxophone in the mix.

Kristin and Connor, thank you for letting me be part of such a joyful, love-filled day. Holman Ranch was the perfect backdrop, but it was the two of you and your people who made it unforgettable.
