Family Session | Ariel & Kishore

Getting to photograph these two again was such a joy. I first captured their wedding day at The Perry House in Monterey, and now here they are with two adorable children, back in front of my camera as a family of four. We spent the afternoon wandering through a garden absolutely full of hydrangeas, mom in a soft white dress, dad in light blue, their little ones matching right along in cream and white.

It is the sweetest kind of full circle for me, going from photographing a couple falling in love, to their wedding day, and now years later watching them as parents. Ariel and Kishore were just as easy and affectionate with each other in this garden as they were on their wedding day, tucked close together with the hydrangeas blooming all around them.

Their son has the biggest personality, quick with a huge grin and always ready to strike a pose in his cream button up. Their daughter, in her sweet white dress with her curls bouncing, is just as much of a ham for the camera, whether she is laughing in her mom's arms or getting a kiss on the cheek from her dad.

This is the part of every family session I love the most, when everyone stops posing and just plays. Hands thrown up in the air, dad swinging his daughter through the air while her big brother watched and laughed alongside them, mom pulling both kids in for a hug. Real, easy, joyful moments, exactly what this family deserves to have on their wall.

Ariel and Kishore, thank you for trusting me with this next chapter. Watching your family grow from that first wedding day at The Perry House to this afternoon in the garden with your two babies has been one of the greatest honors of doing what I do. Love my job, and I cannot believe I get to be the one capturing all of it, from getting engaged, to your wedding, and now your family.
