The Barns at Cooper Molera | Hannah & Josh

Hannah and Josh wanted the best of both worlds on their wedding day, the timeless grandeur of an old California church and the warm, rustic charm of a barn. They got exactly that, with a ceremony in the historic Carmel Mission Basilica and a reception at The Barns at Cooper Molera in Monterey.

The Carmel Mission is one of California's most storied and beautiful Spanish colonial missions, all sandstone arches, soaring ceilings, and centuries of history. From there, the celebration moved to The Barns at Cooper Molera, a beautifully restored 19th-century property right in downtown Monterey. What Hannah and Josh loved most was exactly that contrast, weathered-wood barns and bistro lights that feel rustic and secluded, yet close enough to keep all their friends and family near. It is a true hidden gem.

The palette was classic and romantic, navy for the guys, soft blush and mauve for the bridesmaids, and white and blush florals throughout.

They exchanged vows beneath the Mission's historic arches, a setting so full of beauty and meaning, surrounded by the people they love.

Afterward we wandered for portraits, soaking up the scenery and that gorgeous Monterey light, the two of them clearly over the moon.

Then it was on to the barn, where the rustic beams, the candlelight, and even a vintage photo bus set the scene for a celebration that felt both grand and wonderfully down-to-earth.

And then everyone danced. Hannah and Josh, thank you for letting me capture a day that blended history and heart so perfectly. The Mission and the Barns were the ideal pair, just like the two of you.
