An Intimate At-Home Wedding | Claudia & Chris

Claudia and Chris had planned a big wedding somewhere else entirely. Then the world changed, and like so many couples that year, they had a choice to make. Instead of waiting, they decided to bring everything home, an intimate celebration in their own backyard and the gardens and fields nearby, surrounded by the people closest to them. It turned out absolutely beautiful.

And honestly, there is a lesson in their day that I think about a lot. No matter what changes, no matter what does not go to plan, the wedding day is always about the same thing, you two getting married. That is the whole point. Claudia and Chris did not let any of it steal their joy. They leaned all the way into the moment and made it amazing.

The setting was lush and green, blush and mauve florals everywhere, navy for Chris, and that soft garden light that makes everything feel romantic. Intimate has its own kind of magic, and you could feel it all day.

They exchanged vows right there at home, close enough to reach out and touch every guest, with all the love and a few happy tears. It was tender and personal in a way only an at-home wedding can be.

Then they celebrated, the toasts, the laughter, the people who made it through a strange season to be there for them. It was small, and it was perfect.

And of course their sweet pup was right in the middle of it all. Claudia and Chris, thank you for reminding everyone what a wedding is really about. You made the most of every moment, and it was beautiful.
