Some couples just know how to have a good time, and Cindy and Todd are at the top of that list. The forecast called for rain on their wedding day, and the two of them did not care one single bit. They were upbeat, they were glowing, and they were determined to soak up every second. It is the best reminder that your wedding day is perfect no matter what the sky is doing, rain, shine, or clouds.
They celebrated at The Barns at Cooper Molera in downtown Monterey, one of those rare places that brings the rustic countryside right into the city. The property dates back to the early 1800s, with 19th-century redwood barns and a restored adobe wall that nod to its history. Inside, weathered wood beams glow under wrought-iron chandeliers and bistro lights, and the courtyards and oaks give it a romantic, hidden-gem feeling. It is rustic and elegant all at once.
The palette was soft and pretty, dusty blue and slate against white florals and trailing eucalyptus greenery. Classic, clean, and just right for the barn.
Cindy and Todd gathered their wedding party, the bridesmaids in dusty blue and the groomsmen in navy, and you could already feel how much fun this crew was going to be.
And then, weather be darned, they made the whole day their own. Cindy and Todd knew exactly how to make the most of it, and that energy carried straight through the ceremony.
They said their vows in the barn, surrounded by candlelight and string lights and every person who loves them, with plenty of happy tears along the way.
The reception was full of those gorgeous, considered details, the eucalyptus-draped tables, the soft candle glow, and then it turned into a party.
Cindy and Todd, thank you for showing everyone how it is done. Rain or shine, your joy was the whole story, and it was an honor to capture it at The Barns at Cooper Molera.
