The Perry House | Ariel & Kishore

Some weddings celebrate two people. Ariel and Kishore's celebrated two whole worlds. They brought their cultures, their families, and their traditions together under one roof at The Perry House in Monterey, and the love in that place was something you could actually feel.
If you have never been, The Perry House is one of those Monterey landmarks people fall for the moment they walk up. It is a Queen Anne Victorian originally built in 1860 by Captain Manuel Perry, a New England sea captain who fell in love with the Monterey Peninsula and decided to make it home. The house sits right along Monterey's historic Path of History, wrapped in lush gardens, with this rare blend of old-world character and refinement that makes every photo feel timeless. It is the kind of backdrop that does half my work for me.

The morning was all the good details. Ariel's bridesmaids in their bright magenta robes, the ivory and gold of the wedding attire laid out and waiting, the jewelry catching the light. The palette ran ivory and gold throughout, soft and warm, with greenery and golden blooms tying it together, and then those gorgeous pops of jewel-toned color from the family's saris.

Then came my favorite part, the two of them together. Ariel and Kishore have the kind of easy, glowing love that makes my job feel effortless.

What made this day so special was watching two cultures and two families truly become one. Ariel and Kishore honored both of their backgrounds, and you could see how much it meant to every single person in the room.

The ceremony was full of emotion, the traditions, the hands held, the quiet looks and the joyful ones, all of it surrounded by the people who love them most.

And it is in the smallest gestures that an Indian wedding tells its story, the henna and the gold bangles, hands pressed together in prayer, rice and petals passed between families, every detail carrying generations of meaning. These are some of my favorite frames of the entire day.

And then everyone celebrated. The gardens lit up, the first dance, the dance floor that did not stop. Ariel and Kishore, thank you for letting me be there for all of it. Watching the two of you bring your worlds together at The Perry House is a day I will never forget.
